St. Albans, United Kingdom (November, 19, 2014) - Boston Limited, now in its 22nd year of providing partners with first-to-market technologies and award-winning tailored solutions, will be exhibiting at the 2014 Supercomputing conference at the Ernest N. Morial Conventions Center, New Orleans, November 17 - 20. Boston, in partnership with Intel®. At stand #3457, Boston Ltd will be demonstrating its exteme density compute platform, the SuperFlex MicroBlade featuring 28 x hot-swappable nodes each containing 2 x Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 Processors .

Occupying only 6U of rack space, the SuperFlex MicroBlade offers class-leading density with a targeted feature set making it the ideal basis for many HPC and high-power compute environments.

Additionally, thanks to the incredible density of the SuperFlex MicroBlade, datacentre space can be used to its fullest allowing for 196 dual processor nodes in a standard 42U rack, including all the necessary power, cooling and switch gear.

The SuperFlex MicroBlade features industry standard software defined networking (SDN) switches allowing for easy and highly flexible integration into OpenStack and many other environments. With 10GbE and 40GbE uplinks and completely customisable configuration options, SDN is a powerful feature for almost all environments.

An integrated chassis management module (CMM) provides administrators an enclosure level management capability with the means to drill down to individual nodes and blade components for configuration, management and diagnostic purposes. For added resilience, two CMMs can operate in a redundant configuration.

Using the latest in digital power supply technology, SuperFlex MicroBlade can accommodate anywhere between 2 and 8 PSU modules which operate in a distributed and redundant configuration providing power and cooling for the entire enclosure. Rated at 80 Plus Platinum, overall power efficiency is at 95% and beyond.

SuperFlex MicroBlade is designed to maximise performance per watt, per dollar, per square meter. With 28 high-performance, full featured, energy efficient compute nodes, MicroBlade brings a new cost-effective, environmentally friendly compute option for rapidly expanding data centres and HPC providers.

Attendees are invited to visit stand #3457 to discuss how the Boston SuperFlex MicroBlade and the Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 Processors can help make your IT goals a reality.
