That time of year has rolled around again when the High Performance Computing community come together for the annual SuperComputing or SC conference. SC14 brings together the most respected minds in high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis to debut the research and innovation that will open the door to new scientific and economic opportunities.
It's also nice that we get to travel to New Orleans too – Bourbon Street watch out!
Boston will be showcasing its latest innovations in HPC technology on booth #3457 which includes server, networking, storage, accelerators and innovative cooling technology.
The Industry's Highest Density Intel E5-2600 v3 Haswell Server
The Boston MicroBlade product provides 28 Intel E5-2600 v3 Servers in just 6U of space. This equates to almost 200 dual socket nodes in a single rack and represents a 99% reduction in cables and 95% reduction in space over 1U rack servers.
The World's Fastest Infiniband Switch 100GB EDR
Boston will demonstrate the worlds highest bandwidth switch at SC14 running at 100GB. EDR 100Gb/s solutions answer a necessity and provide the tools to overcome not only today's high bandwidth needs but also the needs of tomorrow. There is no better value to today's IT centers than a single option that offers the highest bandwidth, extremely low latency, and the scalability needed to support HPC, Web2.0, and cloud applications. As data usage continues to grow, Mellanox Technologies and Boston remain one generation ahead of the competition.
Next Generation GPU Acceleration
We can't say much about this as we may be under embargo – but there may or may not be a system packed with NVIDIA's next generation GPU on the stand ;)
Record Breaking Liquid Cooled Technology (from the ISC Student Cluster Competition Victory)
Following our record breaking achievement at ISC14 where we smashed the previous Student Cluster Competition records by breaking 10Tflops in under 3KW of power with the EPCC students, we are exhibiting the liquid cooling technologies used in that system which handled all the cooling for the GPUs and CPUs. With users cramming more and more capacity in to smaller spaces, the need for alternatives to air cooling becomes a major design consideration. If you are planning to deploy a cluster or part of a cluster with accelerators, this technology is a must.
Plus lots of other interesting technologies and goodies – Look forward to seeing you at SC14.
To help our clients make informed decisions about new technologies, we have opened up our research & development facilities and actively encourage customers to try the latest platforms using their own tools and if necessary together with their existing hardware. Remote access is also available
International Super Computing is a can't miss event for anyone interested in HPC, tech, and more.
