The Value Series 125 server, based on the Intel® Atom™ processor C2000 series, is a new low-power server by Boston (consuming 35 Watts under full-load!) that is well-suited for entry-level server requirements and embedded IPC market applications.

The Value Series 125 uses innovative SoC (system on chip) technology, integrating the low power Atom C2750 processor CPU, networking and IO onto a single server chip - delivering an ultra-dense and powerful server in a small, convenient form factor.

The new Intel Atom processor C2000 product family provides greater performance, higher memory capacity and increased power efficiency than the previous series (the S1200 product family). It is an ideal choice when looking for a server to optimally handle all lightweight, scale-out workloads while being that is big on density yet low on power consumption.

The 8-core, 64-bit Intel Atom C2750 processors provides up to 7x higher performance and 8x more memory capacity over the previous generation, as well as up to 6x better power efficiency, enabling greater density. The Intel Atom processor C2000 product family also provides datacentre-class features, allowing users to:

  • Improve data integrity and system uptime by automatically detecting and correcting memory errors with Error-Correcting Code Memory (ECC Memory).
  • Run the virtualization layer faster and enhance virtualization usages with Intel® Virtualization Technology for IA-32 and Intel® 64 (Intel® VT-x).
  • Increase processing efficiency for lightweight scale-out workloads

Optimised for the Intel Atom processor family, this low-power and quiet solution delivers the best expansion and storage features for embedded industrial PC (IPC) applications. Furthermore, the VS 125 is ideal for network appliances and as print or file server.

Boston Value Series 125 review
