The Bangalore facility will be the first of its kind for Boston in Asia and will cater to the local needs of customers based in India, offering excellence in innovation and manufacturing.
Following the launch of Boston IT Solutions (India) Pvt Ltd in 2009, the team has gained a loyal customer base in the Indian sub-continent over the last six years, specifically in the media and broadcast, high-performance computing, education, research and data-centre verticals. As the demand within these verticals continues to grow, the build facility will enable the team in India to accommodate the increase in hardware requirements. Boston has a long term commitment to the compute market in Asia and the assembly facility highlights their vision to become a global leader as demand in the APAC region continues to upsurge.
The facility will not only enable faster installation and delivery for OEM solutions and custom configurations all over India, but will also provide local warranty and on-site support services to ensure peace of mind for customers. Readily available, pre-built servers, workstations and storage solutions will also be stocked to enable next-day delivery across India, solving the time constraints typically associated with international shipments.
Ultimately, the Boston group hope to pave the way for 'Centres of Excellence' labs where they are able to provide access to the latest innovations in the industry. Having broken a world record this week with their sponsorship team at the ISC Student Cluster Competition, it is clear that Boston is reaching towards the apex of innovative computing in India and hope to pass on their expertise to a brand new team of highly technical staff.
