St. Albans, United Kingdom (11th November 2014) - Boston Limited, now in its 22nd year of providing partners with first-to-market technologies and award-winning tailored solutions, will be exhibiting at the 2014 CeBit India trade show at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bangalore, India from the 12 - 14th November. Boston will be demonstrating NVIDIA GRID™ graphic-accelerated virtualisation at stand #A04.
The theme for CeBIT India 2014 is "New perspectives in IT Business". The show will generate vital content on a range of topics around key technology trends - four forces that are changing the way the world does business today - Enterprise Mobility, Social, Big Data & Cloud Computing.
Boston Limited will be demonstrating the versatility of the GPU Accelerated VDI powered by NVIDIA. NVIDIA GRID™ is a break-through in remote visualisation, which delivers high-performance GUIs, 2D, imaging and 3D graphics anywhere and on any device. Boston will exhibit the benefits to the enterprise of moving to a centralised model for power workstations, streamlining administration, improving security and saving costs.
Alongside this technology will be a representative from NVIDIA and Autodesk who will be leading several presentations throughout the event at the Boston booth titled "Digital Content Creation-Anytime, Anywhere with NVIDIA GRID" which will explore what the technology offers with the ability to offload graphics processing from the CPU to the GPU virtualized environments, thus giving the data centre manager the freedom to deliver true PC graphic-rich experiences to more virtual users for the first time.
Boston Limited will also be demonstrating Lustre parallel storage solutions. The Igloo parallel storage range provides genuine enterprise class scale-out storage that can be tailored to suit user needs - whether they be increased I/O performance or storage on mass. Intel® Enterprise Edition for Lustre software unleashes the Lustre parallel file system as an enterprise platform for a broad spectrum of commercial organisations, both large and small. The Igloo range taps into the power and scalability of Lustre with the simplified installation, configuration and monitoring features of Intel Manager for Lustre software.
CeBit India is a chance for Boston to introduce the Boston NXStor enterprise SSD which is optimized for high performance, high availability storage applications, Boston's newly released Igloo NXStor Enterprise SSD is a highly efficient & scalable storage cluster using a combination of head nodes and JBOD disk shelves to achieve multipath failover.
The latest Boston Venom 2401-12T workstation is on show too. Designed by Boston, it brings together the often disjointed design and simulation processes into one package, dramatically increasing productivity; whilst allowing engineers, designers and content creators to do more, faster, and with better results. The addition of Intel®'s next generation Xeon® E5-2600 v3 series processors enable significant performance improvements over the last generation through a higher core count (18 cores vs. 12) and a faster memory bus (2133MHz from 1866MHz) with new DDR4 memory.
To accompany the Boston Venom 2401-12T we will also be showing the Boston Quattro 14128-T with Intel®'s next generation Xeon® E5-2600 v3 series processors, a high-capacity 8-node, 4U server solution based on Supermicro's FatTwin architecture - the latest generation to their highly successful range of Twin-based solutions. The highly dense server provides up to 6x 2.5" hot-swappable SATA3 HDDs per ½U to offer a new, flexible computing platform that is suitable for a number of demanding applications, including Data Centres, Cloud Computing environments, Big Data and High Performance Computing.
