VDI, (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) refers to the process of running a user desktop inside a virtual machine that lives on remote servers (preferably in a datacentre). Instead of a traditional network setup where users work from individual networked workstations, Users use Terminals known as Thin Clients to access a desktop kept on the Network.
