The Rise of Generalist Robotics

One of the most exciting announcements was the introduction of Isaac GR00T N1, an open source, pretrained foundation model aimed at expediting humanoid robot development. This marks the beginning of “the age of generalist robotics,” where adaptable robots will be capable of performing diverse tasks. Companies like 1X Technologies have already showcased its potential with autonomous household robots.
