Posted on 11 August, 2017

The team at Boston labs received an important announcement from our colleagues at Supermicro which we would like to share with you.

X10SL_ Series C222/C224 based UP Server Motherboard

The announcement was that a number of their X10 single processor motherboards have been marked for end of life in November 2017, potentially impacting those who are still utilising them for long term and embedded projects.

These motherboards are based around the Intel C222 or C224 chipset and the Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3/4 or 4/5th Gen Core i3/ Pentium / Celeron

Boston and Supermicro have since launched an X11S series of motherboards to replace these based on the Xeon E3-1200 v5/6 and the 6/7th Gen Core i3/ Pentium / Celeron Processor which are mature and ready to ship.

Customers are strongly encouraged to immediately qualify these where possible. The local sales team here at Boston will be on hand and ready to help you select an appropriate replacement.
We look forward to helping you select and evaluate your next Intel platform, so please don’t hesitate to contact us for our friendly, free advice.
