Today Intel celebrate their 45th birthday!
Founded by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce in 1968, Intel is the world's largest manufacturer of semiconductor chips, as well as the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors; the processors found in the majority of the world's personal computers and servers.
The vast majority of Boston's own server solution range - from the highly-dense Quattro server to the high-availability Igloo Storage solutions - are based on Intel's ever evolving microarchitecture and CPU series.
So here's wishing Intel a very happy birthday - and to another 45 years of innovation and progress
