Powered by the latest Intel Xeon processors and C600 series chipset, the Boston Quattro 1264-TL delivers outstanding energy efficiency and performance offered by up to Intel’s 8-core Xeon E5-2600 series processors.
Featuring four compute nodes powered by redundant 1,400 watt Gold Level (93%+ efficiency) power supplies for maximum availability, each node supports three hot-swap 3.5” SATA drives to deliver incredible I/O performance and an industry leading 6 x 3.5” HDD’s per 1U.
Connectivity options include 40Gb/s onboard QDR InfiniBand, and 56Gb/s onboard FDR InfiniBand.
To further enhance performance, the CPUs are liquid cooled, providing customers with the ability to address a diverse set of challenges facing modern HPC clusters and data centres. This makes the Quattro 1264-TL perfect for performance critical applications in data centres.
The liquid cooling technology efficiently removes heat directly from the CPUs and moves it to a radiator inside the case. Air is blown across the radiator, exhausting all the heat outside of the chassis. As each pair of CPUs has a single radiator there are fewer tube connections than a traditional liquid cooling system, reducing the number of potential leak points.
This advanced liquid cooling technology allows the system to support faster, higher TDP CPUs than would be possible with a traditional heatsink cooling system.
This means that the Boston Quattro 1264-TL is ideal for running computationally intensive applications, such as HPC, medical imaging, oil and gas exploration, quantum chemistry, financial simulation, genomics, and astrophysics.
