Supermicro 4U Storage Server Features 72 Hot-swap SAS2 Drives
Supermicro have announced the latest addition to its Double-Sided Storage family, the SC417, that supports up to 72 hot-swap 2.5-inch SAS2 hard drives in a single 4U chassis, and up to 88 in upcoming JBOD configuration. While the previous maximum in the market was 48 drives in the front, Supermicro has added 24 more hot-swap drives in the rear of the SC417 to deliver nearly double the storage capacity.

Introducing the Boston GP 1200-6
The Boston GP 1200-6 is the latest server from our Green Power range and features four 12-Core AMD Opteron 6100 Series processors. Each processor is accompanied by eight DIMM sockets including 64GB of fast 1333MHz DDR3 memory. A top capacity of 512GB makes the 1200-6 a good candidate for virtualisation. This power-optimised server was recently described by IT Pro as "the lowest cost quad Opteron 6100 server currently on the market".

We have announced a new addition to our Venom portfolio of workstations and servers utilising the latest nVidia CUDA enabled GPU technology. A number of applications lend themselves to the use of the massively parallel architectures in the Tesla range of GPU.
