Welcome to the latest edition of the Boston Beacon,
The Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2008 has taken place this week with one key highlight being the unveiling of
Intel's new Nehalem processors, now officially called Core i7. It also appears that quad-core processors may soon
begin to be complimented by Intel's new 6-core CPUs.
Intel have revealed more information about its forthcoming solid state hard disk drives, and this week also saw
the launch of their first mobile quad-core processors based on the company’s 45nm Penryn architecture.
