Boston Limited have launched their new X11 generation UP systems and solutions, raising the bar on performance and efficiency for their single processor platforms. Utilising the latest core technology from Intel (formerly codenamed ‘Skylake’), the all new X11 generation UP Server and Workstation platforms provide substantial performance and efficiency improvements over previous product generations. Support for the latest Intel® Xeon® processor E3-1200 v5 and 6th Generation Core product family provides a 15% efficiency/performance increase as well as a vast range of improvements:
- DDR4 memory implementation delivers a 14%+ performance improvement over DDR3 memory
- All PCI-E 3.0 implementation achieves a guaranteed 8Gbps bus speed or a 60% performance enhancement over 5Gbps PCI-E 2.0
- All SATA 3.0 implementation brings a guaranteed 6Gbps storage data rate or a 100% performance increase from the 3Gbps of SATA 2.0
- Memory capacity is doubled from 32GB of DDR3 to 64GB of ECC DDR4 memory, resulting in a 100% increase
Additional advanced technologies enhancing the Boston X11 Generation solutions include SATA DOM (Disk on Module) support, Dual 10GBase-T and Quad Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports as well as:
