Citrix Synergy is the premier event for organisations seeking to empower people to work anywhere, anytime, on any device, and Boston was there to talk Graphics Accelerated Desktops.
Nexenta invited Boston to their impressive booth at the Solutions Expo and talk about how the Boston Labs team has developed an NVIDIA GRID solution that uses NexentaConnect storage acceleration. This infrastructure increases user density and reduces the load on the back-end SAN for Graphics Accelerated Desktops as well as simplifying the process of deployment. The solution leverages the best technology out there, with Intel CPUs, Mellanox interconnect, SanDisk enterprise SSDs and Supermicro hardware all alongside Nexenta's NexentaConnect software and NVIDIA GRID technology.
With NVIDIA GRID being the big news from Synergy 2013, delegates were particularly impressed to see that Boston has spent the 12 months between events to develop real-world solutions using a technology that is still considered to be in its infancy. The fact that Boston is working with partners like Nexenta and NVIDIA on their latest technology, and being part of the launch activity for new products likeNexentaConnect for Citrix XenDesktop, demonstrates Boston's mantra of bringing the latest technology to customers first.
As for other big news at the event, Citrix announced the latest version of their mobile device management and mobile app management platform, XenMobile 9, and unveiled some exciting updates to their Worx apps, bringing a slick new look and features like GoToMeeting integration.
Citrix Synergy 2014 once again showed that the events team at Citrix really know how to host an event and throw a party. It was a great few days in Anaheim, and we can't wait till next year when Synergy hits Orlando.
To help our clients make informed decisions about new technologies, we have opened up our research & development facilities and actively encourage customers to try the latest platforms using their own tools and if necessary together with their existing hardware. Remote access is also available
